Our British School Alzira students David Cebolla Ruiz and María Guerrero Jiménez, have been selected from more than 100 candidates (students in 1st and 2nd year of Bachillerato) to participate in the 2023 UV Physics Olympiad.
This Olympiad aims to stimulate the study of physics among young people, reward their efforts and academic excellence, and disseminate physics by creating a meeting point between secondary education and the University.
The Physics Olympiad is not only a competition but also an educational experience. In line with this, after passing the initial selection test, David and María will join a team of around twenty students who will receive a 72-hour physics course. Once they have finished, a local test will be held to choose the 6 classified students who, after 12 hours of additional training, will be able to participate in the national, Latin American and international phases.
The student who wins the Olympiad will receive a study grant of €1000.
From the British School family we wish you both the best of luck!
