Early Stimulation in Pre-Nursery: working on orofacial praxis

In Pre-Nursery, our Early Stimulation sessions are designed to enhance our pupils’ development from their very first years. This month, our youngest learners are working on orofacial praxis, essential motor skills involved in speech and swallowing.

Through play-based activities, children exercise the muscles of the mouth, tongue, and lips, promoting correct pronunciation and proper coordination while eating. These exercises not only support their linguistic development but also strengthen their autonomy in feeding.

At British School Alzira, Xàtiva & Gandia, we recognise the importance of comprehensive development from early childhood. That’s why we remain committed to innovative methodologies that foster the well-being and learning of our students.
