Year 5 pupils attended a workshop on “Ergonomics” given by the Nursing Department together with the Psychopedagogical Office of the School.
The back is the fundamental part for the correct functioning of our whole body and if we have any problem in this part of our organism from an early age, it can cause severe consequences which will be reflected in the future.
It is common to see that children suffer more and more back pathologies and discomfort due to bad postural habits, sedentary lifestyles, the heavy weight of backpacks or unsuitable postures maintained over time.
From the Psychopedagogical Department of the School we consider it essential to teach our pupils to take care of their posture and their body, so that they can learn situations and small tips that they can carry out to maintain a healthy back, and also to identify everyday situations that can cause their back to weaken or suffer pain, such as muscular contractures, so that they can learn how to prevent and avoid them.
