We have done a project in the dunes of Oliva for Year 13 Geography students. The field work aimed to consolidate the learning that is being carried out through coastal studies and has included research on: the succession of vegetation, the development and management of dunes, changes in soil characteristics and coastal processes such as beach grading and drift. Each student has directed a work technique and has been responsible for the collection of reliable data.
This practical work is an important aspect of the A-Level Geography course and helps students understand.
