Year 13 students have conducted a fascinating laboratory experiment to deepen their understanding of the excretory system.
Through the dissection of kidneys, they explored first-hand the role of renal function in urea excretion and osmoregulation.
During the experiment, they used hydrogen peroxide to highlight the microscopic nephrons, the key structures responsible for blood filtration.
This hands-on approach allowed them to visualise kidney function in greater detail, reinforcing their biology knowledge through direct experimentation.
