This term, our Year 9 students have been fully immersed in the study of Macbeth, one of William Shakespeare’s most iconic tragedies. Over the past few weeks, they have explored the play’s characters, themes and key scenes in depth, analysing various adaptations with great enthusiasm.
To round off this fascinating literary journey, we were delighted to offer our students an unforgettable educational experience: today, they attended an exclusive screening at Kinépolis Cinema in Alzira of a critically acclaimed stage adaptation of Macbeth, produced by the renowned Donmar Warehouse in London.
This version, recorded live and widely praised by critics, stars David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) as Macbeth and Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife, The Good Fight) as Lady Macbeth, under the direction of Max Webster (Life of Pi).
We are confident that this activity not only deepened their understanding of the play, but also offered a unique opportunity to enjoy Shakespearean theatre through a high-quality cinematic experience.
