On the 30th of January we celebrated Peace Day in our school for another year.
This day is celebrated to pay tribute to the death of Mahatma Gandhi, a pacifist leader who defended and promoted non-violence and peaceful resistance.
The aim of the celebration is to promote education in and for tolerance, solidarity and peace, therefore activities are carried out to promote understanding between people of different races, cultures and religions.
At British School Alzira, Xàtiva & Gandia we know the importance of addressing these issues with our pupils, as our classrooms bring together many different nationalities and tolerance becomes a key factor for harmonious coexistence.
