Students from Year 7 to Year 10 enjoyed a very special day called “The BSA-BSX Athletics Event” this April.
During the day they were able to enjoy the exclusive use of the facilities of the Xàtiva Sports City. This facility currently has artificial turf football pitches, indoor paddle tennis courts, an eight-lane athletics track, an indoor basketball court, a cross country track, long jump and triple jump pits and a changing room building.
The pupils went to the Sports City and had various sports competitions throughout the day. Among them: Athletics, Shot Put, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Football, Basketball, Rounders and Padel.
The aim of these activities is to motivate students to practice sport to maintain an active life, and also to encourage team spirit, to be competitive with respect for the opponent and self-improvement, all of which are very important values for the development of strong and healthy young people, physically and mentally.
