As we do every month, we have prepared a special day for our students to explore the world through their taste buds. This helps to educate their palates so that they learn to enjoy different flavours and, at the same time, get to know other cultures.
This time we travelled to Southeast Asia to visit Thailand.
Thai cuisine is characterised by a mixture of aromas and flavours, and it is well known for its so-called “Thai Style” which consists of a combination of 5 flavours: salty, bitter, sour, spicy and sweet, and achieves a perfect harmony very difficult to find in other international cuisine. Herbs are also included in the preparation process to give Thai dishes a fresh touch.Thai vegetable noodles and Siamese style pork with carrots and mushrooms.
Everyone loved the new flavours and some even asked for seconds!
