On Wednesday 22nd November, Year 8 pupils attended a play in Valencia.
On this occasion they were able to see the play “Tirant lo Blanc”, by Joanot Martorell, which is a chivalrous novel written around 1460-1464 and which is classified as one of the most important works of universal literature and a masterpiece of literature in Valencian.
This play is included in the curricular content of ESO, so it is highly recommended for students of this age to attend it in order to better understand the message and the plot of the play in question that they are working on in class.
Being a modern play for its time and incorporating interesting themes such as humour, love, reflection on death and war, it was very entertaining for our students who enjoyed a different kind of day.
