In Year 5, the students have been studying the topic of “Vikings” in class, and in order to learn more about what they have seen in class, they have had a very exciting day dedicated to this topic.
During this day they have been able to participate in the following activities:
- Art – Creation of a Viking axe.
- Music – Creating a Viking Rock song.
- History and theatre: Viking gods.
- Physical Education – Viking strength competitions.
As always, during our Topic days students can come dressed up as Vikings, or bring in a Viking-related accessory to blend in with the historical moment.
We had a lot of fun on this special day believing we were real Vikings!
