We are heading to Madrid for a visit to the Museums

The Year 12 and Year 13 art & art history students were recently on a trip to visit the three largest art museums in Madrid: the Thyssen-Bornemisza, the Prado, and the Reina Sofia. The goal of the trip was to expose students to a variety of art movements and styles, from early medieval paintings and to postmodern and contemporary artists, and for the art history students to see first hand all the masterpieces they’ve been studying (Goya, El Greco, Picasso, etc) before they take the Selectivo at the end of the month.

There were loads of different styles and everyone got to see something they enjoyed. All the students had a blast and were very eager to take pictures and discuss the artists’ lives and works.

What an amazing experience!!
