Year 7 students attended a workshop on “Physical Changes” delivered by the Nursing Department in conjunction with the School’s Department of Psychology.
The aim of the workshop is to inform students about the current stage of development they are experiencing, in which the body matures reproductively, leading to certain questions, sensations, and experiences.
The workshop was conducted separately for girls and boys, addressing various topics such as the anatomy and physiology of their reproductive organs, the menstrual cycle, and the transition to the fertile stage.
The School’s Department of Psychology and Nursing Department deem it essential to properly inform students at this stage, during which young people are particularly VULNERABLE TO RISK, thus necessitating SAFE SEX EDUCATION. Understanding what to expect from this process helps them comprehend and experience it from a position of knowledge.
