Year 5 students enjoyed a truly unique experience exploring the Cova de Sant Josep in La Vall d’Uixó, home to the longest navigable underground river in Europe.
During the visit, they embarked on an impressive boat ride through the cave, discovering rock formations, stalactites, stalagmites and natural galleries that transported them to another world. Guided by instructors, they learned about the geological formation of the site, the effect of water on rock over thousands of years, and the fascinating history of this remarkable natural environment.
The trip perfectly combined science, nature and excitement, allowing students to expand their knowledge in a hands-on and highly visual way while enjoying a truly spectacular setting.
