British School Academic Assessment
Students from the British School Group show up at the end of each educational stage for external official exams.
These exams are the most prestigious in Europe, as they are prepared and corrected by the prestigious Cambridge and Edexcel Examining Boards for that reason we offer a continuous academic assessment for a personalized follow-up of our students .
- The students join the center mainly in Pre-Nursery. Initial levels in the Children’s Education (Foundation Levels) stage are crucial to achieving a good command, both in speech and understanding, of the English language.
- Students perform the official SATs exams Year 6 (Key Stage 2) and Year 9 (Key Stage 3). In this way you can compare the academic level of the students of a British school in Spain, with that of other British schools in both Spain and the United Kingdom.
- At the end of Year 11 students get the General Certificate of Secondary Education according to the British Education System, and the degree of Graduate in Secondary Education issued by the Spanish educational authorities.
- The official exams for obtaining the GCE (General Certificate of Education)“A” Levels focus the academic preparation of the last two years of Secondary Education Year 12 and Year 13. Students from foreign systems recognised by the European Union (British System) have direct access to universities in Great Britain and the Spanish University, either directly or after the Selectivity exam.
- In general, the school introduces its students to the Cambridge exams: First Certificate in English FCE (level B2), Certificate of Advanced English CAE (level C1) and Certificate of Proficiency in English CPE (level C2) at the levels of High school.
