On Wednesday, April 10th, our Year 10 students attended went to see a play at the theatre in Valencia.
The chosen play was “The Life of Lazarillo de Tormes” (Anonymous), which, as you all know, is a representative novel of picaresque literature, owing to the mischievous and somewhat comedic aspect exhibited by the characters along with their antics. The oldest known editions date back to 1554.
Attending this performance provided them with a valuable understanding of the significance of Lazarillo in literature, as the book is part of the Year 10 curriculum.
It was a very enjoyable morning for everyone, and we even enjoyed watching one of our students perform on stage.
