We have now taken delivery of the new phonics scheme that we will be launching across our three schools from January.
The teaching of phonics is already a strength of our school but as always we are looking for ways to improve further. Phonics underpins all early reading and writing. A strong understanding of phonics is what helps students become confident and competent in their school work.
After careful research we have invested in one of the latest and highest rated phonics schemes in use in schools in the United Kingdom. With over 120 books and a range of other supplementary materials our students will now be receiving individualised learning with the very latest in phonics resources.
This investment of over 10,000€ will ensure that our students are able to make fast and sustained progress in phonics and quickly transition to becoming confident independent readers.
Importantly, this scheme is also engaging so we can be sure that students will enjoy this new style of phonics teaching.
