Discover our school!
At British School Xàtiva we want each student to discover. We aspire to be a place of education and life, where each student feels that, thanks to what they learn and experience every day, there is nothing they are not capable of doing.
To achieve this, we have applied the British Curriculum since 2009 in the BSX , one of the most prestigious and advanced teaching methods in the world. An individualized teaching style where the student is the center of everything, and the ultimate goal is that they can give the best of their abilities.
At our school, each child is the protagonist of his or her learning. With a highly qualified teaching staff and facilities designed to enhance the educational experience, at British School Xátiva we help each student to discover their talents and develop their full potential.
Because we are all born with talent and we just need help to develop it.

A comfortable and warm environment. Our experienced staff receives children every day in a welcoming environment, encouraging the child to arrive at school happy and eager to learn.
English from day one. Our experience shows that this age is perfect for accepting a second language, and that is why very soon they begin to participate in the teacher’s songs, stories and rhymes.
Build self-esteem. Students engage in activities designed to develop their physical, social, and learning skills. The happier they are and the less afraid they are of making mistakes, the better they will learn.

What do we work on in this cycle?
Positive attitudes towards learning . These two years are essential to build the foundation for the future development of the student.
Language and Mathematics . Language and Literacy covers all aspects of language, with special emphasis on the ability to speak and listen, in addition, we know that early literacy or Literacy is essential at these ages. Mathematics learning is achieved through practical activities such as songs, games and role-play situations.
Knowledge and understanding of the environment . It involves learning about the natural and human world, as well as their own environment. They are encouraged to ask questions and brainstorm ideas, helping them make sense of their own world. In addition, we know that new technologies currently play a fundamental role, for that reason, from an early age we teach them to make good use of them.

What do we work on in this cycle?
In Key Stage 1 (Year 1, Year 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6) the Curriculum is composed of 10 subjects, which are separated into three core subjects (English, mathematics and science) and seven additional subjects (physical education, art and design, computer science, design and technology, geography, history and music).
