During the last weeks of the term, our British School Alzira, Xàtiva and Gandia Schools enjoyed a very special Christmas, full of activities that went far beyond the celebrations, becoming authentic experiences of learning, coexistence and solidarity.
On the one hand, we wanted to recognise the effort, positive attitude and good behaviour of our students, celebrating their achievements with special experiences for those students who have accumulated the most credits. Movie nights with popcorn, special meals and shared moments have been a way of thanking them for their daily commitment and reinforcing the values we promote in our Schools.
Solidarity has also played a key role. Our educational community threw itself into a food drive for Caritas, demonstrating once again the importance of teaching empathy and helping those most in need. We also celebrated Solidarity Day, during which the students themselves organised a charity Christmas market, with the funds raised going to ASPANION to support children and families facing childhood cancer.
The Christmas spirit was alive in the classrooms thanks to the Christmas door decoration contest, an activity that sparked creativity, teamwork and excitement among students and teachers, who filled the corridors with colour, imagination and meaningful messages.
At British School Alzira, Year 13 students organised a bake sale, selling cakes, sweets and pastries made with the help of their families, with the aim of raising funds for their end-of-year trip, in an initiative that combined responsibility, effort and entrepreneurial spirit.
All these activities reflect what we understand by education at British School Alzira-Xàtiva-Gandia: a comprehensive education that celebrates achievements, fosters solidarity and creates experiences that leave a lasting impression. A Christmas lived with meaning, values and community.
