An unforgettable day in Year 4: Ancient Egypt

Coinciding with their Assembly with Parents, Year 4 pupils celebrated their eagerly awaited Topic Day dedicated to Ancient Egypt, a day full of learning, creativity and fun.

During the day, they explored the stories of Egyptian gods and goddesses in Literacy, worked with three-dimensional shapes to build their own pyramids in Maths, and conducted a fascinating experiment in Science, where they learned about mummification using tomatoes. They also had the opportunity to engrave their names in hieroglyphics on clay, connecting with one of the most amazing cultures in history.

Many pupils came dressed up or with accessories related to Ancient Egypt, which added even more excitement to this special experience, and their families were able to appreciate everything they had learnt in an unforgettable assembly.
