“Dial 112” Workshop for Year 1 students

This month, a Dial 112 workshop was held for Year 1 students.

In an emergency or urgent situation, everyone can help, and our little ones are no exception. It has been repeatedly demonstrated that children under the age of 6 can learn to dial 112 and report an emergency.

To facilitate this learning, the School’s Nursing and Psychopedagogical Departments prepared a workshop for our Year 1 students, where they learned how to dial 112, what to say, and what to do while waiting for help to arrive.

For home, we suggest some initiatives that can assist in an emergency: having a visible Dial 112 poster with your information, having access to a phone they can use in case of emergency, practising the “resuscitation song” available on YouTube, or doing role play emergency drills to help the children practise the steps they have learned.

We hope this information helps you to know how to act and assist in case of an emergency.
