Today our BSG students received a visit from a much-loved character in Gandia: El Tío de la Porra.
This event is considered a cultural heritage of Gandia and the Valencian Community, and is represented as the leader of a band of drummers who go through the streets of the city dressed in 19th century military uniforms.
With his big nose and black glasses, children love this character as he passes through the schools announcing that the Gandia festivities have begun.
