First prize in the Mainel Foundation Story Contest

The British School Alzira first prize at a national level in two of the 3 categories of the 20th Mainel Foundation Story Contest 2017.

Like every year, the British School Alzira – Xàtiva participates in the story contest organized by the Mainel Foundation for secondary and high school students.

This year, in the 20th Edition of the awards, we have obtained two great satisfactions:

Ángela Pintado González , a Year 8 BSA student, has obtained the First Prize in 1st Cycle of Secondary with the story “The true value of a person “, and Ana Colomer Martín , a Year 10 BSA student, has obtained the First Prize in 2nd Cycle of Secondary with the story “The look I’ll never forget .”

More than 500 stories from all over the national territory have participated in the twentieth edition of the Award. The 9 winning stories will be published in the award book entitled “The World You Want” . In addition, its authors will receive various prizes according to their category and classification, as well as a set of books for the schools and institutes of the winning participants.

The jury has valued the stories not only for their literary quality, but also for the values of solidarity and justice that they reflect.
