Year 3 field trip to the Prehistoric Era

To reinforce the knowledge acquired about Prehistory during this first term, Year 3 students went on an exciting field trip to “Cova del Parpalló”, a key archaeological site for understanding Prehistory in our region. It is one of the most important caves in the world from the Upper Palaeolithic, renowned for its collection of engraved plaques featuring prehistoric art.

For our students, this visit was an excellent opportunity to witness some of the topics they’ve been studying and to solidify their understanding of the “Meet the Flintstones” topic.

The trip included an expedition to the cave, complemented by interactive video screenings and a hands-on workshop. These activities aimed to familiarize students with the basics of archaeological methodology, help them appreciate our archaeological heritage, and understand our past through the artistic expressions of prehistoric societies.
