Year 7 Geography field trip

As part of the current Geography Topic Project, our students are studying the types of activities that take place within an urban environment, and for this reason, we have organised a live fieldwork activity for them.

The Year 7 pupils from BSA, BSX, and BSG conducted fieldwork in the centres of Alzira, Xàtiva, and Gandia respectively, which included the following tasks:

  • Walking through a commercial district or market area, where the students worked in small groups.
  • Identifying various types of shops, stores, and services, recording their observations on their iPads.
  • Conducting a pedestrian and traffic count within a designated area over a specific period.

Subsequently, they continued their work with classroom tasks: writing a brief report in which they summarised their main learnings from the excursion, creating a presentation on a specific aspect of urban economic activity, and integrating their field trip observations into class discussions and projects related to economics or urban studies.

A great experience for our youngest Secondary students!
