This month, our Year 3 students attended a workshop on Accident Prevention organized by the School Nursing Service and the Department of Psychology. The aim of the workshop was to help them learn how to prevent and respond to accidents.
Topics covered included calling the emergency services, the Recovery Position, and how to respond to choking, among others.
As a follow-up, we have suggested several initiatives for home, such as using a 112 emergency call poster provided to students at the end of the workshop, filling it out with necessary details, and placing it in a visible location at home. Additionally, families are encouraged to watch videos on how to respond to emergency situations and conduct drills to practice what to do in case of danger.
We hope these tips prove valuable in case of need, as prompt action can be crucial in emergency situations.
