This month we continued on our discovery of new flavours and visited Argentina. Argentinian cuisine combines influences from various cultures, including indigenous peoples, the so-called “criolla cuisine” of Spanish colonizers and gauchos, and sub-Saharan African influences.
Among its main ingredients is primarily meat (beef, lamb, and poultry), which takes center stage in the famous Argentinian barbecues, and agricultural products such as wheat or corn, among many others, not to mention the typical empanadas.
On this occasion, we had the opportunity to taste:
- Argentinian salad (lettuce, onion, tomato, and lemon)
- Argentinian locro stew
- Ribs with chimichurri sauce and French fries
- Organic yogurt with caramel sauce
