Today we have returned to celebrate, after 3 years without being able to do so, the great Fallas festival at the British School Alzira, Xàtiva & Gandia.
As well as recovering a tradition that the COVID did not allow us to enjoy, we have recovered it in the year of the school’s 25th anniversary, so that a wide range of emotions have been burnt in the bonfire: the flames symbolise the memory of the past, which gives way to the rebirth of the future.
It has been a day in which we have had the presence of many parents who have wanted to come and enjoy this party together, and a large number of former students have also come to see THEIR COLE and join the party, which has included the awarding of prizes for the best “ninot” and best “fallero” poster, the exhibition of the dance of the students of Funky, and our famous chocolate with churros for parents and former students.
Our Fallas monuments have been made and elaborated with great enthusiasm by our Infant and Primary students, and of course, they have been part of the great “Cremà”, putting the finishing touch to this celebration where fire, gunpowder and emotion are the protagonists.
We hope you all had a wonderful time today.
Thanks to all of you for participating and infecting us with your Fallas spirit.
Happy Fallas!
