We start again our gastronomic journey around the world and our first stop is on the other side of the Atlantic: MEXICO.
This is the location of one of the Seven Wonders of the World (the Mayan ruins of Chichén Itzá), the country with the most cenotes in the world and one of the main tourist destinations in Latin America.
Mexico is also famous for its cuisine, which has a wide range of flavours, smells and influences from other cultures. Among its most characteristic ingredients are corn, beans, chilli, avocado and many herbs and condiments.
On this occasion we have been able to taste:
- Mexican corn salad (sweet corn, avocado, boiled egg, tomato and lettuce).
- Rice with frijoles (beans) and bacon
- Mexican burrito with pico de gallo and avocado
