In Year 4, the children have already started to study the topic of ‘Ancient Egypt‘ and have had an exciting day dedicated to exploring this topic.
They have celebrated this day by enjoying the following activities amongst others related to ‘Ancient Egypt’:
- Art/DT: the children have made mummies and created their own hieroglyphs on clay tablets.
- Music: they have listened to traditional Egyptian music.
- Literacy: read newspaper articles about Ancient Egyptian discoveries.
- Maths: they have explored three-dimensional shapes and built pyramids.
Many have come dressed up as ancient Egyptians in spectacular costumes so that they can feel even more at home in the theme of this fun day.
We suggest that you ask your children to tell you what they have learnt and we hope they enjoyed it very much.
