On the 11th October, as part of the Health Promotion Workshop calendar, Year 2 pupils attended the “Bright Smiles” workshop, an oral health workshop given by the School Nurses.
From the first tooth eruption, it is essential to teach children the importance of good habits in order to maintain strong teeth and healthy gums throughout their lives.
In addition, a healthy mouth helps to prevent problems such as tooth decay, gum disease and bad breath.
In this workshop our students have been able to learn how to brush their teeth effectively, how to use dental floss, the importance of a healthy diet or why it is necessary to visit the dentist regularly.
By acquiring these healthy habits their smiles are sure to stay bright for a long time.
