Today marks the beginning of Chinese New Year, the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar. This festival is a time to honour and pray for ancestors and to come together with family.
To celebrate, our Infant students have been learning about Chinese culture and traditions, including the Dragon Dance, which symbolises good luck and prosperity, the traditional red clothing, and the Lantern Festival, which marks the arrival of the full moon.
Having classmates from different countries enriches children’s educational experiences, fostering both linguistic growth and social skills development. It is an invaluable opportunity that prepares them to embrace challenges and opportunities in a diverse and globalised world.
This is how we celebrated diversity and multiculturalism in our classrooms! It was a truly enriching experience, and our little ones learned so much!
