Promoting well-being: “Healthy Habits” Workshop for Year 4

Lack of physical exercise, poor eating and sleeping habits, and excessive consumption of sugary foods, including those with added sugar, are key factors contributing to the high prevalence of health issues among children.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), obesity has already reached epidemic proportions. This may be influenced by changes in lifestyle, social dynamics, and work routines, which have altered eating habits and promoted a more sedentary way of life.

Health education plays a fundamental role in helping young children develop good habits related to nutrition, hygiene, sleep, and physical activity. For this reason, our school’s Nursing Department has organised a Healthy Habits workshop to teach students the importance of maintaining good daily routines for a healthier future.
