Year 5 students attended an “Ergonomics workshop” at school, delivered by the Nursing Department in collaboration with the School’s Psychopedagogical Department.
The spine is fundamental to the proper functioning of our entire body, and problems in this area from a young age can lead to severe consequences later in life.
It is increasingly common to see children suffering from back pain and related conditions due to poor posture, sedentary lifestyles, heavy backpacks, or prolonged improper positions.
The Psychopedagogical Department believes it is essential to teach students how to take care of their posture and bodies. This workshop aimed to provide them with practical tips to maintain a healthy back and to identify daily habits that might weaken or strain their backs, such as muscle tension or poor posture, so they can learn to prevent and avoid such issues.
